What's the OS version? I think you'll find that you don't need to install it on any recent OS versions because it's part of the OS already - that's why you're getting that message saying it can't replace it. The VB6 runtime isn't supported after Windows 2000 (and not on XP either), so I find it hard to believe that the VB5 runtime is supported or required.
