Hello Bob Remove control event does not HIDE the feature. It just puts a red-cross in front of the feature and provides user an option to enable it. (Refer comment#8 on your blog from peter: http://www.joyofsetup.com/2007/05/30/feature-conditions-and-ui/).
If I set feature level at 0, I cannot change the feature level to 1 based on the input received from UI interaction i.e: it won't show the feature in the feature tree even if the user is entitled to use that feature and it is being installed which might rather cause confusion. Refer comment# 10. You can hide a feature by keeping its feature level at 0 or by using the Remove control event. -- sig://boB http://joyofsetup.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------ Download Intel® Parallel Studio Eval Try the new software tools for yourself.
