Hello All, I'm using WIX 3.0 RTM to build patches for an MSI I've developed. The MSIs work great, and I can build a patch off of the .wixpdb files, but if I try to create a patch off of an administrative installation of the MSIs pyro fails. See the following output:
$ pyro -v -delta patch.wixmsp -out patch.msp -t RTM patch.wixmst Microsoft (R) Windows Installer Xml Patch Builder version 3.0.5419.0 Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. Updating file information. Creating cabinet files. Creating cabinet 'C:\Users\Kyle Huey\AppData\Local\Temp\taylsrel\#RTM.cab'. Generating database. C:\Users\Kyle Huey\AppData\Local\Temp\taylsrel\patch.msp : error PYRO0103 : The system cannot find the file 'C:\Users\Kyle Huey\AppData\Local\Temp\taylsrel\patc h.msp'. If I use the -notidy flag the temporary directory has the generated CAB in it as well as a patch.msp file. Opening the patch.msp file in Orca fails though. Is this a known bug? Does anyone have any ideas for what I can do to work around it?
