Jeremy, I appreciate the concern. Markus has a point since VS 2010 just shipped and it is natural that we're going to get lots of questions about WiX toolset's support for it.
The answer is I'm trying to figure out what to do. Our original goal was that WiX v3.5 was ready VS 2010 RTM +/- a month or two. We're not on track for that right now and I've been wanting to see the feedback was here before planning next steps.
