There have been a few posts recently about harvesting registry files with WiX v3. I have written a Heat Extension that should allow you to do this and am hoping to get this integrated in to the v3.5 Heat core tool but if you want to use it now or need it to work with v3 I have made this available here: http://neilsleightholm.blogspot.com/2010/06/wix-reg-file-heat-extension. html.
