A bug (#3109682, https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=642714&aid=3109682&group_id=105970) has been reported on this issue for WiX versions 3.6 & 3.5.
My question here is can anyone tell me is there a prior version of WiX that can build an install for a non-default web site that will work? I'm willing to consider falling back to a previous version to be able to get the install to work properly. The problem is occurring on 2008R2 and IIS 7.x servers. Unfortunately I do not have an option to fall back to previous server OS or IIS version.
