Bob, Tobias, many thanks for your answers. I wanted to tell you that I was able to compile by using *only* WiX installation and WiX's tools (candle, light). I say *only* because I dont use anymore msbuild, but if WiX relies on .NET to work then there is an implicit use of .NET.
However, to do so I had to remove the references to Product.Generated (as Tobias mentioned). Then again, I would really like to understand what is that, who makes it, what is it for. If someone would point me to any documentation that would be enough for me :). Thanks again and best regards 2011/6/6 Bob Arnson <b...@joyofsetup.com> > On 31-May-11 13:33, Francisco Gabriel Malbrán wrote: > > Yet I would like to establish the simplest dependencies to compile. ie: > only > > Wix 3.5 (no need of .net framework) > > > > Is this possible? > > No, WiX requires .NET. > > -- > sig://boB > http://joyofsetup.com/ > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > EditLive Enterprise is the world's most technically advanced content > authoring tool.
