Hello, I'd like to place a check in an install that confirms the version of the application's database. This info is stored in a versions table.
The rationale is I'd only like install to go ahead once the database has been updated, but I want to keep this process separate from the installation. The application search functionality seems to be in the right area, but this only applies to files, directories and COM components as far as I can tell. I realise it is straightforward enough to include a SQL script and have the installer make the change, but that's not appropriate in this case. Would someone be kind enough to point me in the right direction?
