Hello list, I am newbie to wix, I do not have any experience in writing a MSI installer so far, but information and blog I found on the web about wix is really exciting to work with and create an installer using wix. I dig a bit into the documention of wix (included .chm file provided with wix installation) and created a sample installer, which really looked very promising.
I read a bit about 'burn' which is about bundling and and chaining the installation of other 'MSIs', 'EXE' into a single MSI, which is really nice feature and part of wx 3.6 beta. My initial requirement is to write a simple MSI installer which can eventually trigger the Sun JDK and JRE installation silently from whithin the parent MSI, but i could not really find a good example explaining this kind of installation or like. I would appreciate if someobody could point me to such an exmaple or any good help in this regard is very much appreciated.
