Ahh, yes. That's a very old decision. <smile/> WiX isn't in there because WiX isn't going to be "in the box", as they say at Microsoft.
The whole discussion there wasn't really about WiX... it's about the death of Visual Studio Setup Projects and how people using it should plan for the future. WiX is a great alternative but we don't exactly have a pointy-clickly interface that Visual Studio Setup Project people would expect.
