Also tried to install burn on winXP offline VMWare. Point is that I
actually don't know how it is working or should work. Tried to do
following:
a)
- Downloaded wix36.exe, core.msi, msdk.msi, votive.msi, nsdk2005.msi,
nsdk2008.msi, nsdk2010.msi, core.cab, msdk.cab, votive.cab,
nsdk2005.cab, nsdk2008.cab, nsdk2010.cab into same dir
- started wix36.exe
- Log says things like :
....Error 0x80072ee7: Failed to send request to URL:
http://wixtoolset.org/releases/3.6.2610.0/data/core.msi
Also saw in the log nothing describing some fallback to the in the
same directory (as wix36.exe) stored MSIs

b) Started using layout parameter
wix36.exe /layout <CurrentDir>

c) had a brief look in this mailing list

d) Is there a bug or is it not completely implemented ?

e) Installing MSIs (core.msi, msdk.msi, votive.msi, nsdk2010.msi)
directly like described in the bundle source code worked fine

How to do it with WiX36.exe ?

Thanks and regards,
Tobias
