I'm new to WiX. Using WiX Toolset 3.6 on Luntbuild Build Server, Tortoise SVN, Nant build script calling WiX Heat, Candle, Light. The source is a ASP.NET website but I have chosen to use the Heat -dir option because it is being built on a Build Server and not the multiple target Web Server(s). When comparing the Heat -dir generated .WXS file content list with the Orca - File viewer of the file MSI content there are 3 referenced Microsoft Enterprise DLLs (copy local) and configuration files including the web.config and two other config files MISSING in MSI! There are no errors reported. If they are listed in the .WXS then what would prevent them from NOT being in the MSI? I have also run the generated MSI to confirm they are not there. We are using VS2010 on our local development machines and have a WebSetup project in our solution which does produce valid .MSI with these files. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
