I think it is clear that the WiX developers are working on what they believe to be the most important primary tasks as they relate to WiX even though WiX development is clearly a secondary task for most of them. Generally speaking if something hasn't been done in an open source project, the reason usually is that it simply hasn't been important enough for anybody to work on it, yet.
