I've created a custom managed bootstrapper using .Net Framework 3.5 SP1. I've added dotnetfx35.exe as prerequisite. All is working great when Net Framework 3.5.1 is installed or when it is not installed at all. But all is going wrong when installed Net Framework 3.5 /without SP1/.
More details: When 3.5.1 framework installed: burn engine is running my custom bootstrapper and all is OK. When framework is missing: burn engine is running nonmanaged bootstrapper, which installs .net framework and then run my custom bootstrapper and then all is still OK. When framework 3.5 (without SP1) present: burn engine is running my custom bootstrapper and it can't show the UI because it is require net framework 3.5 SP1. What should I do in this case? Can I (how?) in my custom bootstrapper install one msi (dotnetfx35.exe) before showing UI and then re-run my bootstrapper? Or any other ideas? Any help will be very much appreciated! P.S. I use Wix version 3.7, if it is important. P.P.S.
