Hopefully I can attach these, otherwise I'll print them out. I've attached one
example from the SCCM installed MSI, and one from when triggering through the
command line in system context through psexec, to emulate the behaviour of SCCM.
The most interesting bit is in the end, where the manual install reports back:
MSI (c) (80:18) [17:13:08:464]: Windows Installer installed the product.
Product Name: test myApp Client (64-bit). Product Version: 3.7.01. Product
Language: 1033. Manufacturer: test Software AB. Installation success or error
status: 0.
This never happens when triggered through SCCM or GPO.

Thanks for your suggestion Nick, but the problem isn't the actual deployment
per se; I suspect it's rather with how the msiexec executable is triggered.
Something happened and I essentially need to nail down whether the issue is
caused by Microsoft, or the WiX Toolset.

This probably isn't going to be helpful because I'm not that well-versed with
using Group Policy. But when I tried it once, the program ended up on a
different screen that regular programs. I had to go to *Control Panel ->
Programs and Features -> Install a program from the network*.
