What happens if you just uninstall the older product? Does that require the source too?
If it does, then I'd tackle that issue to simplify it. There could be an unconditional ResolveSource action (can't see that in the log though); or the cached MSI file is missing so it wants the original MSI file. There's not enough of the log there, but I see nothing about a source cached MSI in the Windows\installer directory being used for the uninstall - that would be normal. If it happens only an upgrade, a common reason is that you have something in the installed product that is incorrect. Using a file as an example, if you have replaced it with a version that does not match the installed product AND it's a candidate for replacement, then Windows has no choice but to repair the product to install the correct version to see if it actually needs replacing or not. The MSI you supply must be the correct one, and that does not mean one with the same name - it means same packagecode, product code etc. --------------- Phil Wilson On Mon, Mar 2, 2015 at 9:10 AM, Ashish Agarwal <ash...@mangoapps.com> wrote: > Hello Everyone, > We are facing an issue during an upgrade of our Product on one of the user > machines. > 1.
