While redmine is no doubt a powerful application. I wonder about the
following:
1. Social aspects
We need a planet of developers and users that people can
subscribe to. We need a twitter feed/agrigator. Forms, online
documentation, maybe even a wiki system.
2. Too developer oriented
I don't see anything inviting about any of the webpages in the
list. I think we could really make something nicer than this.
3. I don't ruby I python
Don't get me wrong, ruby is good. But I won't be learning a
knew language to build a website. (Easy as it might be, I would
rather just get the job done. It's been how many years since a
        site change?)
4. It's not a cms is a pms :P
It doesn't feel like a cms, joomla does and I don't like that.
As a developer myself, project management system from my
perspective is very logical, but it provides little use for your
users as most will be using a package manager anyway. They want
to get documentation, screenshots, progress, give feedback, and
        share.

Why don't we have redmine for all your project management and a real
webpage for all other content.

To tell about my skills, if you even want me to do the site. :P
I program in python, in particular, I program in web2py. Web2py is nice
as it's easy to learn and implement as a server. I control 150,000€
robots with it for my work. I have also made these sites with my mac'y
designer.
http://trimaxsafety.com.tw
http://bullseyedesign4u.com
Amongst many others.
I program on an end-to-end 100% free and opensource platform. I have
used linux exclusively since 1999 and currently use Ubuntu 9.10. WM was
the first manager I specifically remember. (Though I don't the first I
used.)
So with that all said I am happy to help in anyway I have the ability to
contribute.

Jason Brower
