I think I understand what you meant, despite the quotation marks :-) Instead of completing to file\ name\ with\ spaces.pdf the tab completed to file name with spaces.pdf which does not work so it is a bug. Thanks for pointing this out. Have you tried to read the code from bash and steal it for this case?
