A small observation. The commit ids when things are in 'next' are
not guaranteed to be eternal (as I may eventually rebase). So
it is a bit risky to refer to 'next' ids like that (but for 'master'
it is definitely fine).

So I changed the subject line and moved the sha1 id to
the log also mentioning the patch subject explicitly:
