If you ask me I think we need better graphics... For example the screen
blinks when you change desktop do to the windows being redrawn. Drop
shadows and a fade in when logging in and out would be cool too.

lo and behold, WM raised it from the grave and made it better.
Anyway, again, I would love to contribute. So how does one go about this?
