I cut away the text portions which apparently obscured the most
interesting content: "it is configurable through WPrefs.app".

I must admit that i only learned by this thread that i omitted wmdrawer
from inclusion in wmlive up until now, and this will be remedied for the
next release.

A big turn off of wmdrawer is that it needs to be configured manually
using a text editor. While this might not really be an issue for people
like us, personally i would rather like to be able using it without
requiring the abilities of people like us. This is not really end user
friendly, and i would much prefer to see my friends and neighbors use it
without (exaggerating a bit:) first having gone through basic sysadmin
training.

In fact, i was rather disappointed when starting up wmdrawer for the
first time, as it doesn't even create a first simple preconfiguration
file in the users home directory at first execution. While this might be
considered a lack of the Debian package, i consider this to be a half
breeded application from the point of view of a non sysadmin user.

If the added drawer funcionality would improve upon this usability
omission in such a decisive way as to provide configurability via
WPrefs, i would be absolutely delighted by its addtition to wmaker.

(I am currently in limited operation mode due to a very nasty RSI issue
affecting my right shoulder, thus typing this with my left hand only.
For this reason i was not able yet to bother applying these patches and
try out the viability of the WPrefs configuration on my own. So i don't
know if this is just a switch to toggle drawers on/off, or whether this
actually enables full configuration of the drawers. Pardon for that if
my messsage should have only produced pointless noise!)

Best regards,
Paul
