When was the last time you wanted to --replace a window manager?

In my case, I _never_ did this. I don't see the point, sorry.

I agree with your other feature enhancements and ideas, but let's not
mix things up here.

Let me be clear: The fact that I don't want to include the code
about --replace does not mean I won't include other things. 

But a line must be drawn everytime a decision is made. 

I don't think that "other window managers do" is a reason to include
code doing exoteric stuff and used once or twice in a lifetime
(I guess).
