Hi!

I'm somewhat unhappy with the current state of Xinerama support in
wmsetbg. You can either have one large image stretching over the whole
Xinerama area, or the image stitched to every single head.

That's fine for a panorama, or then your heads all have the same
aspect ratio. However, if (as I do) have one portrait and one
landscape screen, things start getting ugly.

I'd like to patch wmsetbg to not only accept loading one single
image, but several, one for each physical head. Under usual usage,
there would only be a single image, but Xinerama users would get
one-image-per-head by stitching them all together in the complete
background pixmap. Unfortunately, having multiple images (one for each
head) won't work with "--u"pdate-wmaker, but it would be a
runtime-only thing.

Are there any other suggestions getting a bit more flexible with
Xinerama setups? Things would be quite easier if there was an easy way
getting a head's current background image, so that an individual
head's background image could be changed on its own. (By re-using
other head's images.)

MfG, JBG
