I am not a Windowmaker developer but rather a user like yourself. However, I do have some experience with X11 and Xlib and your idea seems intersting to me. I think that it would be a good thing if you try to present your suggestion on Windowmaker devel mailing list. It could be done and the only problem I see here would pop out with some applications which tend to open multiple windows while using the same window name and class which would make impossible to distinguish it's windows and the same atributes would then be applied for all windows that belong to that application. I would like to expand your idea and add the possibility to define the custom window name in addition to your suggestions. Others might see those changes as a big change when compared to the original NextStep environemnt but then again, it could be accepted and in my opinion it would be a nice addition to Windowmaker functionality. -- Josip Deanovic -- To unsubscribe, send mail to [email protected].
