You can redefine the modkey by modifying wmirc. Copy wmirc from /usr/local/wmii-3/wmirc to ~./wmii-3/ and change the $MODKEY variable to what suits you. I don't have a "win" key on my keyboard, so you'll have to find it out yourself (hint : use xev)
