I just noticed it works as expected in rc0, I have stack mode on
startup everywhere...

Another question: Sometimes (may depend on the redrawing speed)
when I start a program which gets tagged according /def/rules to
another view I see it flashing up for a short time. This appears
to me like the client window is drawn, then tagged and hidden
again. This order would involve unneccessary redraws - is there
a way to avoid this?

Stefan
