Hello, although I'm generally more than pleased with wmii, I have one minor issue that keeps bugging me. Sometimes I wind up with several xterms and Emacs instances that all have a highlighted cursor (as if all of them had the input focus.) Since I tend to look at the cursor instead of the window title bar I keep typing stuff into the wrong window. It would be nice if this could be somehow resolved. (If not, I guess I can live with it.) My uneducated guess is, that this has something to do with 'focus follows mouse.'
Here is how to reproduce it: 1. open XTerm in View "1" 2. open another XTerm in view "1" 3. move second XTerm to the right to create a second column 4. open a third XTerm 5. tag the third XTerm with "2" 6. switch to view "2" 7. open a fourth XTerm and move it to the right to create a new column 8. _using the mouse_ focus the left XTerm in view "2" 9. switch to view "1" 10. switch back to view "2" 11. again using the mouse focus the right XTerm 12. switch back to view "1" 13. now in view "1" in both XTerm the cursor is highlighted This happens with both xterm and aterm. (I didn't try Emacs.) Saludos and thanks for this great wm, Dominik _______________________________________________ [email protected] mailing list http://wmii.de/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/wmii
