I remember watching Berman's final sports update at WBZ. He signed off a :30 update at midnight by giving the score of a Red sox game and saying "I've left you with an 8 game lead, Boston. Don't blow it on me." The Sox processed to lose almost all their remaining games and then lost a one-game plyoff to the Yankees and Bucky Dent.
