So I'm watching ABC's World News, the pale, evening imitation
of World News Now, and they're doing a story on the demise
of Kodachrome.

(And hey, when did it get boosted to GOST 45, eh? We used
DIN 11 speed and if the sun wasn't shining brightly, we
pulled out the magnesium...)

Anyway, they show a light (as in illuminated) table with
a bunch of 35mm slides, in the traditional 2 inch by 2 inch
cardboard mounts, and describe how the ABC archives have
gazillions of these historical images.

Clearly visible are the "Kodak" logos.

At which point they zoom in on one, and there's a decades
old picture of... Charlie Gibson. Who makes a comment
about how much younger he was back then.

The only problem: standard mounting of these slides would
have the image _reversed_ if you looked at it from the side
with the main Kodak imprint. To see the image correctly you
had to hold the slide with "Kodak" facing _away_.

(The side now facing you would have the slide number, i.e. #27
out of the 36 exposure roll, and also [iirc] had the film
processing date. Afraid I don't have any at hand.).

Paging Marla Maples. Umm, make that Marla Mapes.
