They announced the rule change in today's [a] episode.
It seems they've finally picked up that the person
at the other side of the phone call has... internet
access, so it's no longer a simple "what do you and
your phone phrend know"...
The "call the pre-picked expert" option is still there.
[a] first time I've seen the announcement, but it's
also the first time I've watched the show in, well,
quite a while. So they might have made the change
a bit earlier.
