Not trying to be mean. I think Amanpour is great at what she does, and I
would have loved to see a world politics/policy program coupled with a
domestic one on Sunday mornings. But I do think that it's not to much to
ask of ABC (or any of the networks) to devote one hour a week to the inner
workings of Washington, and either this show is going to stray from that
focus... or the host is going to be someone who has not spent the past 20
years building up the kind of detailed knowledge that Tim Russert (or, for
that matter, David Gregory -- or Jake Tapper!) had.

Not to mention Snuffy, or The Ted [Koppel].

And... I did watch it. And was disppointed. She had
on San Fran Nan followed by Sec. of Defense Gates.

Softballed them all.

This despite the NY Times' Allessandra "more NYTimes 'Corrections'
than, it seems, anyone else [a]" Stanley's paen to her which features
the headline "A TV Host Challenges a Guest. That's News".

Methinks Ms. Stanley watched a different show from the one
I saw.
