Pat Burns: I'm not dead By Sports Network MONTREAL -- Former National Hockey League head coach Pat Burns has not succumbed to lung cancer as reports stated earlier. Several Canadian newspapers reported the 58-year-old passed away Friday morning. However, Bob McKenzie, a hockey insider for TSN, stated on his Twitter account that he had spoken with the three-time Jack Adams Award winner as the league's top bench boss. "Pat Burns just called me. Seriously," McKenzie posted. "Here's what he said, 'Here we go again. They're trying to kill me before I'm dead. I come to Quebec to spend some time with my family and they say I'm dead. I'm not dead, far f------ from it. They've had me dead since June. Tell them I'm alive. Set them straight.'" Burns guided the New Jersey Devils to a Stanley Cup title in 2003. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "World News Now Discussion List" group.
