There's not any official word yet but a number of blogs are repeating
claims that Benoit Mandelbrot, pioneer in fractals, which really
looked like more than pretty screen saver technologies back there in
the 80s, has died, cause unknown. Unfortunately all attempts to
confirm any detail lead back to what looks like the original rumor.
