After an awfully quiet Giants victory night last night, in which I 
was considering revising my darkest fears, tonight, with only one 
work day left in the week, Giants fans are speeding through city 
streets (at least my neighborhood) with blaring horns and screeching 
Bacchanalian victory whoops, much like the sound of Viking raids that 
likely announced the end of so many pastoral English villages once upon a time.
