This year, I haven't seen any holiday-related commercials on WNN;
so the usual method of detecting when the holiday season has begun
isn't working. However, an event happened today, on WNN itself around
1:47 EST, that makes me think that we are indeed in the Hanukkah-
Christmas time of the year. The event, hereafter known by its acronym
WCON, is probably widespread wherever calorie-rich holiday drinks are
consumed. Can you guess it? :-)
[cueing Herb Alpert!]

BTW, the first airing of "A Charlie Brown Christmas" is on ABC next
Tuesday at 8 p.m. EST (check local listings).
