Rep. David Wu announced his resignation from Congress today, moments after U.S. senators Jeff Merkely and Ron Wyden called for his resignation. The Democrat said in a statement that he would leave office after Congress resolves the debt ceiling crisis. So... never, then? Before I got to the part about him being a Democrat, I figured he would be, only because no Republican would ever resign over such a petty thing as cheating on his wife with a teenager. I was surprised, though, that the Senators who called for his resignation weren't GOP. -- Steven Otte [email protected] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "World News Now Discussion List" group.
