The verdict has just been read: Amanda Knox has been found not guilty on
appeal, and the judge ordered her to be released immediately. However,
Knox was found guilty of "defamation," and has already served her time for
that charge. A judge called the evidence used against her in her initial
conviction "not reliable."
Knox reportedly left the courtroom in tears with her boyfriend, Raffaele
Sollecito, who was also acquitted of murder. According to the Washington
Post, the two are returning to prison to pick up their belongings, and
then will be free to leave.
