Me, I got out of it with a 200 bpm episode of tachycardia Tuesday
night along with four missing pulses. Mr. Food may have made a
better choice. Damn, electroshock hurts.
Did they try adenozine and other drugs first? And were
they friendly enough to give you Valium and morphne
before the cardioversion?
Best of wishes on resting through this.
I had four IVs going (a new DB record for one time), I have no idea
what it all was, they gave me stuff to "take the edge off" they said,
but then one of the interns later said they didn't really wait for it
to take hold. I was, at that point, not asking the names of the meds.
Words flew by in their own medical jargon, but there was just so much
activity, I couldn't keep up with it all. In a way it was actually
immensely interesting, especially in hindsight.
