ATLANTA - A deal has been signed that will bring canceled soaps "All My
Children" and "One Life To Live" back, albeit in different medium.

The two long-running daytime dramas, canceled more than a year ago by ABC,
are slated to begin production with an eye toward airing 30-minute daily
episodes online via Hulu and iTunes beginning later in the spring.

Cast members of both shows have signed contracts to come back to the shows,
as have veteran writers from the soap genre.

"All My Children" ran on ABC for 41 years from 1970 through its
cancellation in September 2011. "One Life to Live" premiered on ABC in 1968
and ran 43 years before it was cancelled in January 2002.

After their cancellation, the shows were sold by ABC to television
production company Prospect Park, which planned to continue production of
the new shows either on a cable network or in an online form.

Prospect Park and Hulu announced the production deal Friday. The shows will
air on both the free desktop-based Hulu.com service as well as the
subscription-based Hulu Plus service, which allows viewing on
internet-capable televisions and set-top devices. The deal will also allow
viewing through Apple's iTunes service.
