Shall we start making our predictions for when Comcast will put NBC to
sleep at this point?  This makes the 75-85 ratings drought probably look
minor in comparison.

I think had NBC not had a solid daytime lineup, the NFL, Saturday Night
Live, and Johnny Carson on the air during the 70s......the network would
probably have faced extinction back then.

Now NBC is down to the all-day Today show and Days of Our Aging Lives, a
primetime lineup that is in the toilet, and a late night lineup that's
essentially damaged goods.

NBC's prestige is gone....and this may be the chain that gets it's nice new
corporate overlords at Comcast to consider putting the network down for
good.
