Well, the blogger is in this market (Cleveland), and the televangelist he/she talks about is Rev. Ernest Angley (expertly parodied by Robin Williams).
Rev. Angley owns the local CW affiliate (ex-WB), located almost a stone's throw from my house. Believe it or not, despite that fact, WBNX is one of the more professional TV stations in the market...and Rev. Angley's own shows are basically the only "religious" programming on what is one of the more secular stations here. (WBNX did put up a .2 subchannel solely to rerun religious stuff, including his shows, but 55.3 is the secular "This TV" movie subchannel network.) I'm not the one who wrote that, despite my proximity to that person...
