Afraid it's so. While the book does talk about the rise of the
accordion in the 90s and 2000s, and can't overlook They Might Be Giants and
Weird Al, it only spares a page to talk about the use of accordions in
commercials and seems to have completely missed the overnight news scene.
On the other hand, it's able to talk about a composer pondering how he
could write polkas without losing his avant-garde credibility, and how to
encourage others to do the same, so there's that.
(It's actually a rather scholarly book, even though the title makes it
sound like it'll be a bit of a giggle. On the other hand, it also talks about
how Lawrence Welk responded to Stan Freberg's _Wunnerful, Wunnerful_. I
recommend it, anyway.)
