Damn..Trek deaths do happen in threes. From Trek Guru Larry Nemecek on Facebook, another Trek vet has passed on:
"When it rains it pours. Breaking news, and delayed a week. but award-winning producer and head man for Star Treks II, III, IV and V HARVE BENNETT passed away a week ago, Feb. 24, in a Medford, OR hospital near his Jacksonville home. Harve produced TV's first mini-series, "Rich Man, Poor Man," had Ingrid Bergman's finale with "A Woman Called Golda," helmed "The Six Million Dollar Man" and "The Bionic Woman" etc, and was with me for his last on-camera talk for " <https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Con-of-Wrath/118217438256052> The Con of Wrath "-though we spent four hours toto, re his other projects and Trek topics. More coming. There are 4 or 5 people I'd bestow with the moniker "The Man Who Saved Star Trek"-and he is surely one of them, being handed the reins of Star Trek II after TMP's lackluster impact, and finding and hiring <https://www.facebook.com/pages/Nicholas-Meyer/112377145443685> Nicholas Meyer to the Trek fold. Word of his passing looks to be delayed by his lack of immediate survivors, with his wife currently living with a caretaker." http://www.facebook.com/pages/Larry-Nemeceks-Trekland/ -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "World News Now Discussion List" group.
