Sir Christopher Lee, the British actor who mastered horror and Dracula roles
before his turns as a Bond villain and the wizard Saruman in the "Lord of the
Rings" trilogy, has died, a London borough official said Thursday.

Lee, who also played Count Dooku in the "Star Wars" prequels, often played the
villain in a career that spanned nearly seven decades. He died Sunday at the
age of 93.
