If it makes you feel any better, since "Jeopardy!" runs on a different station
in Detroit, it effectively turned into promotion for the competition.
His title is going to be "consulting producer," which I believe is most often
used as a synonym for "occasionally writes some stuff for the show, but doesn't
really have to show up at the office."
I highly recommend the podcast that he co-hosts with musician John Roderick, in
which they take a deep dive into a trivial topic twice a week:
