I'd like to propose a discussion topic for today's Woden telecon:

A Woden release (possibly 1.0) to coincide with WSDL 2.0 Recommendation.

+1 to that. It would be nice to get serialization in but not essential
IMO. So it's probably not worth doing a release for PR. Would be nice
to graduate from the incubator so that the 1.0 release isn't marked as
incubating and is a fully fledged Apache project / sub project.

Last week's WSDL 2.0 implementors call indicated that PR was about 3 weeks
away and that Recommendation should follow only about 4 weeks after that.
So, WSDL 2.0 Recommendation could happen by mid April.

The last major piece of the WSDL 2.0 spec we need to support in Woden is
the assertions. This includes adding validation for the remaining
assertions and also some redesign of the validation architecture to make
it easier to define validation rules and add validation rules for
extensions. I'd like to focus my efforts on this (assuming Lawrence's
availability will be limited) and aim for a fully WSDL 2.0 compliant
release timed to conincide the WSDL 2.0 Recommendation.

Depending on participation, this release might also contain some of the
other outstanding functionality like serialization and WSDL 1.1
conversion, but the main release defining criteria for this proposed
release should be WSDL 2.0 compliance (i.e. including assertions).

Cheers,
Jeremy
