Attendees: Lawrence Mandel, John Kaputin Minutes
1. Open Action Items - Lawrence Mandel 2007-12-18 - Lawrence will create a tools page on the Woden site with the XSLT and converter. 2008-01-08 Lawrence: No progress. John: Will the permalink for the xslt go on this page. Lawrence: Yes. We may require build modifications to build the converter and package it separately. 2008-01-22 Lawrence: No progress. 2008-02-06 Lawrence: No progress. 2008-01-22 - John will summarize the Woden-47 change and post to the dev list before merging the change into trunk. 2008-02-06 John: I posted to the list with a wiki page that contains all of the updates. Closed. 2. Milestone 8 (M8) Status - John Kaputin John: Woden-47 is done. I've started looking at the validation framework. I'm going to start with the dependency matrix. John: The M8 date is Feb. 20. I'm still working towards this date. I'll need to make some more progress before I know whether or not this is achievable. 3. Development Discussion - All John: I was thinking about the merits of having many assertion classes for validation over having a single class with many methods. Lawrence: I think there are a few benefits of having many classes including clean separation of validation logic that should make it easier to test the assertions, ease of use of registering assertions and allowing the validation framework to deal with dependencies, and simplicity in the UI as each assertion is registered as a class. I think this granularity also allows clients to override the default list of assertions with their own list if they, for example, want to remove an assertion. 4. Other Business - All John: I'm moving to Australia and joining IBM Australia starting the beginning of April. I will continue to work on Woden on my own time to complete 1.0. Lawrence: Congratulations on finalizing your move details!
