Can you please expand on what you mean by "no longer needed", what has 
changed to make this an unnecessary widget?

Assuming that it really is unnecessary then you might want to remove all 
of the widget, at present we have a shell left at 
http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/incubator/wookie/trunk/widgets/forum/
