Just an aside - something that came up at the Hackathon in Amsterdam was the
use of the W3C Widgets spec in PhoneGap (aka Apache Callback). I wrote a short
blog post about this just explaining the basics:

https://scottbw.wordpress.com/2011/10/07/phonegap-and-widgets/

Filip and Michael from Nitobi/Adobe have also put a position paper into a W3C
workshop explaining in more detail how they've implemented things like
<feature> and <preference> elements, and added a couple of extensions, which is
quite interesting - I'll post a link on the list when it gets published
(probably after the workshop).

I can see some new possibilities opening up soon; for example, if we create a
"widget store" on top of Wookie, it could incorporate Apache Callback
(incubating) to generate native mobile versions of the submitted widgets.
