Chocolate Upside-Down Cake 1 c. sifted flour 3/4 c. sugar 1 1/2 tblsp. cocoa 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tblsp. melted butter 3/4 c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla 3/4 c. chopped nuts 1/2 c chocolate syrup 1 c. hot water Sift together flour, sugar, cocoa. baking powder and salt. Add butter, milk, vanilla and nuts. Stir until well mixed. POur into greased 8" square baking pan. Mix chocolate syrup and hot water. Pour over batter in pan. Bake in moderate oven (350) 35 minutes.
